greek millionaires

i am a full blooded greek girl and i love reading about greek millionaires. you don't see too many stories about greek men but i thoroughly loved this. they first meet at a masquerade ball and have a one night stand but she wants to keep her identity a secret so they make love with her mask still on. somehow she ends up as his personal assistant and fall in love. i don't know if this author has any other books but i would like to try another book by her.

An Unexpected Find

This is the first book by Anna Cleary, I'm not sure if she is a new Harlequin author or an established one, however I absolutely loved this book Sam and Ellie where to me a realistic couple. Sam of course was tall dark and handsome and Ellie was beautiful (is there any other way for harlequin characters to be?) Anyhow I digress, Sam and Ellie where characters with substance. Ellie wasn't meek, mild, poor or down trodden. She was a confident, funny, emotionally stable career woman. Also she was older than most of the harlequin heroines. She was 30 years old in the prime of her career with some history of relationships, which I liked about her, because it allowed her to be able to deal and handle Samos aka Sam's own confident strong alpha male personality. I thought the way that these two met and had a one-night stand that was dictated by Ellie was a reverse of roles. Seeing Sam being told how their brief relationship would be handled and how Sam stuck to Ellie's demand to hide her identity when they made love and not to approach her if ever he recognized her again if they should ever meet again. Needless to say the two do meet "again" this time as boss and employee, not as lovers. Sam hires Ellie to be his PA although while knowing who she is, while poor Ellie suffers in silence, seesawing between being angry with Sam because he seems to not remember her or the one steamy night they had, that she can't get out of her mind, and the fact that she works closely with Sam on a daily basis makes this even more difficult for they both. I don't want to give to much more of the book away but I will say this book had me laughing at points at the dialogue between the main and supporting characters, it also was really steamy and at particular bits I wanted to shake both Sam and Ellie for being so head strong and stubborn. This book was a treat it was light in away that many harlequin books are not, with a refreshing plot of neither character pledging undying hatred nor revenge on the other. I would definitely recommend this as a quick read and look forward to reading more of Ms. Cleary's works in future

Strangers in the Night!

A "Greek God" in every sense, Sam is proud, very much the alpha but he has a well "hidden sensitive side" when it comes to Ellie his personal PA. You see, they actually at one time were two `Strangers in the Night" who shared an incredible night of passion. Months ago, they met at a company masquerade ball and they were so drawn to each other and acted on that attraction. However, Ellie made Sam promise not to remove her masque and if he in the future were to recognize her, he was to never mention their night of passion and Sam agreed because he knew Ellie would run! Ellie has worked for the bank for years, promoted several times and her main goal is to have enough money saved to quit her job and have a child before it is too late. As far as relationships, Ellie's success rate is "zero" so she plans to have a procedure in order to achieve her goal. However, when she is given a promotion to be Sam's PA with an increase in salary she accepts. However, he is a threat to everything she wants and she's scared. Sam pulls Ellie like a magnet; it is actually painful and a couple of times she gives in to her desire and throws caution to the wind. However, it all backfires for both of them. This was an incredible love story and at times hard to read as you watched Ellie and Sam's struggle. Sam in a way lives by the old Greek ways, at one time he was married and hurt so he has trust issues and his strong feelings for Ellie confuse him. Whereas, Ellie is hurt by Sam's comments, actions and yearns for him to see her as the person she really is and she feels "used" and decides to move forward, which means leaving Sam and the bank she loves. Heart breaking? Yes! However, you will not want to miss this wonderful romance and you will want to read more of Anna Clary's books. Congratulations Anna on this spectacular book; I can't wait to read your next Presents!
