My Stories

There are stories regarding events in all lives that are interesting, humorous, tragic, compelling, and/or all of the above. My name is Wayne Clawson. Here you will find stories I claim as mine. I either experienced them or heard them from others, and for whatever reason, they resonated with me and I wanted to share them with you. I have come to believe that our stories are not merely interesting sidelights of our lives, they are our substance. They are that which makes us who we are.It is doubtful that these stories will generate much general interest; however, maybe they will offer some insight for my descendants into who I was, what I enjoyed, and how I lived. My natural inclination is toward humorous stories, for I believe nothing is more enjoyable than a good laugh. You may classify some of these stories as "crude." In that regard, I plead guilty as charged. Allow me to apologize in advance if your sensibilities are offended.Nearly all of what is contained within these pages is true, at least to my mind it's true. But truth sometimes suffers when filtered through the screen of time. On occasion, truth, at my present stage of life, was a bit hard to remember; sometimes it wanted and was improved in the interest of readability. Some names have been changed to protect the innocent, although I know few people who are genuinely innocent.I suspect you, the reader, have stories on a par with those recorded herein. I believe you should write them down. However, until you do, why not enjoy My Stories
