Faith Grows

Although the author's faith seems to implode it in fact expands and grows. He is a stronger and better Christian who comes to realise his nit pickings are just that...nit pickings and there are far more important issues to be dealt with in his walk with God.

Holiness in the midst of evil

I read this book before and while traveling in Vietnam in the summer of 2009. Having lived through the time about which this book is written, having struggled with the meaning of the US involvement and the decisions made and avoided in that encounter, I was able to develop a more healthy and positive perspective of the men and women who were engaged in this struggle and of their horrific encounters with humanities' evil behavior. I recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn more about what North Vietnam terms "The American War of Aggression."

Book got here quickly and is in condition described. Thank You!! Since the Author is one of the Dr's I work with, it gives me some insight as to who he is (outside of work)!!! So glad I bought it. As a matter of fact I liked it so much that I bought two other books he wrote!

Vietnam Redux:A hero's search for healing and forgiveness

This is a wonderful story, almost spellbinding. It is beautifully written and will open the reader's understanding to the consequences of war and the personal, gutwrenching decisions required to survive battles fought side by side with comrades and the personal psychological aftermaths of those battles. This is a story of forgiveness and redemption after 40 years of pergatory. Although published by Chalice Press, the theme is for everyone who has been affected by war in any way.
