Definitely a keeper!!! I've read it 6 times!

Melanie Schuster, really outdid herself. It is my favorite book by her as of yet. I waited for this story for so long, she did a great job of whetting my appetite with references to their budding romance in "Until the End of Time". I immediately fell in love with Martin. He was so realistic. I loved the fact that Ceylon was so down-to-earth and saw the beauty in him, when others couldn't. Ceylon is the type of friend any girl would want -- SHE'S SO REAL! I have to agree with the lady from Brooklyn who mentioned the fact that the cover did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the storyline. It didn't go with it at all. That is a MAJOR PET PEEVE of mine as well. I like the fact that Arabesque is going to the artsy covers instead of the pictures. It's just too easy to judge a book on how cute the models are. On the other hand, it's nice to place a face to the characters you fall in love with. But if the picture looks NOTHING like the description, then it is just downright irritating.

Love Couldn?t Have Found A More Deserving Couple!

When I'd read about the brooding Martin Deveraux in Melanie Schuster's other novels my heart would absolutely break for him. You could tell in the previous novels that life (or love) had dealt him an unfair hand. It was easy to understand his need to isolate himself from family and friends. On the other hand, saucy Ceylon Simmons made her debut in previous novels and made me LOL! I knew that any novel featuring these two would have Ceylon helping Martin to find his way back to love. What I didn't know is that Martin would do the exact same thing for Ceylon. They are both so deserving of love after the pain and tragedies they've endured. And when they do allow love to break through the walls they've erected, whew! This book SIZZLES!!! With a writing style that's like a breath of fresh air, Melanie Schuster transports these two lovers - and the reader through a story that is thoroughly heartwarming. This should have been released in the winter. I would've loved curling up in front of a fire with "My One and Only Love" and a cup of Chai. Hmmm....guess I'll have to read it again.

Awesome and compelling!!!!! Ms. Schuster does it again!

This is the second book I've read by Ms. Schuster and I must say who know how to write. Couldn't put this one down either. It kept my attention from the first page to the end. I first read "Lucky in Love" and I loved it. You showed your skills as a true writer and your characters are so believable. I think pretty soon you will be up there with the likes of Brenda Jackson and Rochelle Alers. Can't wait for your next book. I am yet to get a copy of "Until the end of Time" but I know it will be as good as Martin's and Ceylon's story. Looking forward to more good stuff from you. Keep up the good work!!!

Martin and Ceylon! Yeah, Baby!!!

Melanie Schuster just keeps getting better and better with each new book. I was so thrilled to see a hero, a gorgeous hunk of a man, who was depicted realistically for a change. Martin had lost an eye in an accident, and for years he wore an eye patch. He could be my mystery pirate any time! Ceylon was beautiful, voluptuous, and a sister who knew what she wanted, and how to get it. How many black women do we know like that? All of 'em! We're strong, and we're tough because we have to be. But we're also soft, and gentle, want to be loved, and to give love in return. Ms. Schuster depicts all of this in My One and Only Love. It's an instant classic in my humble opinion. Tender, sexy, and compulsive reading! A keeper!

AMAZING STORY!

My One and Only Love finally brings us the story of Ceylon & Martin's "trek" to love! I loved the way Ms. Schuster has allowed these characters to "simmer" in other stories until their story could be "consumed".The most fascinating feature of the story is how she allowed Martin to regain not only his looks, but his dignity, his zest for life, and his much needed relationship with his twin brother and family.His loyalty and care for Ceylon was awesome! This is one story that one must get past the "cover" to enjoy!This reader loves Ms. Schuster's sharp wit and biting "tongue".
