Terrine Gomez, musician, teacher and author is a native of India. She holds several diplomas from Trinity College of Music in London, and a degree in Musicology from the University of Illinois. She taught at several international schools in India and has performed in various symphony orchestras. At the recommendation of Yehudi Menuhin, she attended the Rolland International String Workshops in England and Switzerland before the late Professor Rolland invited her to study Pedagogy, and to assist him at the National Academy of Arts. She also has extensive experience teaching children, individually, in her Young Artists Studio (est. in 1989), and in groups at a Montessori School (since 1983). The author teaches violin, viola and string ensembles at all levels, and was awarded the CMA Heidi Castleman Award for Excellence in Chamber Music Teaching in 1994.
