All over the place & not much substance. I think there were opportunities to share some interesting memories but this one just missed the mark.
Confusing, but good nevertheless

My sister also got a signed copy of Ms.Yancey's book at a book signing in l978. I just found it, though, along with some LP's and Ed Parker's book. Her story does jump around a bit, but it is nice to read about Elvis written by someone who didn't seem to have an agenda or a grudge. She just wanted to tell about her experiences. I would recommend it.
One of my favorite Elvis books

Shortly after Elvis died, Becky Yancey did a book signing at a local mall and I was fortunate to get an autographed copy of this book. It's a very interesting read and I've gone back to it many times down thru the years. It would be great if she could write another book on Elvis. I'm sure there are many more stories to be told of her time spent with him.
Confusing and poorly written, but the heart is there.

Becky Yancey has some difficulty writting as seen when one goes forth in reading this book. But the heart is there. The book is mostly made up of collected ancedotes, gathered into chapters. Some of the writing makes it sound like Elvis is still alive, which apparently he was for most of the book's time in pre-publication. I thought it was OK overall, and I'm not even an Elvis fan.
