As I read this man's account of living with native Americans, I kept getting the sense that much of this was fabricated. The writer also claims he was decent towards the native Americans, somehow forgetting he was ripping them off at every chance. I also doubt his wife would have agreed that life was good between them. Ah well. It was still interesting, whether fact or fiction.
