Excelent read!

I really enjoyed this book. The plot and the love triangle between the three main characters is what I enjoyed most. It has action, adventure, love, and even a little mystery in there. The back story of the three main characters is also very interesting. There is some fan service, but it is hardly "simply filled with pictures of Mai's chest" as one reviewer put it. As for guessing by the cover... Well that looks like a picture of Mai, so by looking at that, one would guess that Mai is in the book, and she is.

My-HiME Vol. 1 Reader Review

I like the story, but it could have been better, without the sexually explicit scenes that aren't necessary and serve only as distractions. I wanted to give this book as a gift to an 11-year-old girl, but after seeing its content, I decided not to give it to her.

Superior Manga

After the My-Hime anime, the Mai Otome anime and the Mai Otome Zwei ovas, another venture into the world of HiME's may seem hard to justify. But the trip this mange provides is well worth the time and expense. The author has taken the characters and mechanics of the My-HiME universe and written his own unique story. While readers who are wedded to the anime version of the story may be disappointed, those readers looking for nothing more than an outstanding adveture story will find it here.

This manga is baced on the anime My-HiME. The story line is good, butt it is different from the anime. This manga has some course language, nudity and violence. It is not for people under 17.
