Now I want to move to Texas!

A cute, fast read, because you will not want to put it down. It doesn't end quite like I thought it would which was a pleasant surprise.

Laughed till I cried

Finding this series was a strike of luck. The characters are fun, the dialogue is quick and the mysteries are interesting. I have definitely laughed out loud at some of the antics and, especially, the dialogue. There is a scene with Edwina and a horse at the end of the book that had me wiping my eyes.

Dixie Cash

If Dixie Cash is the author, it is hilarious! I've read most of her books and enjoyed every one of them! Her descriptions are the best!

Ok, so I'm generous with this rating . . .

Yes, it is a typical sappy light (aka beach) read set in West Texas with all of the colloquilisms but when I got to page -- oh, now, I am not going to allow you to cheat by telling you which page I was reading when I busted up laughing out loud and with the tears running down my face and unable to stop -- nearly rolling on the floor because I could just picture this entire scene being played out in writing. So great! Anne George would have been proud of that bit, given her Southern Sisters mysteries that will never be surpassed in my estimation. Fanny Flagg would have been roaring at the scene. The entire sappy book is worth those precious pages of uproarious conduct. I will read another book by this author just in the hope that I can get a few more moments like the one in this book on page ____ -- no, I won't spoil it for you. Gotta read it for yourself.

A really good time

I had so much fun reading this book. I read the first book by Ms. Cash and couldn't wait for this one, it was no disappointment. I hope more books are in the offering for this writer and I hope she keeps Edwina, Debbie Sue and all the other great characters.

Wish I could give it more stars...

I'd never read anything by Dixie Cash before but I'll certainly order her first book now. I loved this book. It was funny and the characters were so endearing. For just a little while the reader is allowed to enter a world different from our own and it was such a pleasure. I've recommended this to friends and have had a couple call and thank me already. Keep up the good works Ms. Cash. Anything that makes me laugh, with everything that's going on around us, deserves 5 stars and more.
