Sweet Book!!!

I enjoyed reading this book, although it was a sad one, too. This is another great book in the 'Dear America' series & I do highly recommend it... unless your a melancholic. ;)

It may not be historically accurate but,

It's still a good book. This book is about a Native American girl named Little Rose. She is taken to an Indian school, where she has to choose a new name, Nannie. This book is very inspirational, and hopeful.

My Heart is on the ground

My nine year old daughter loved this book. It is very well written and a pleasure to read.

My Heart is on the Ground:a review from a ten-year-old

This book is really good. But if you like happy books, don't read it because it almost made me cry.The book is about an Indian girl who is forced to change all of her ways, and learns many things to make her people proud.

Nannie Little Rose L.F.K.

The main character is Nannie Little Rose. She is brave and shy. She really works hard to learn the English ways. She is a Sioux Indian that was sent to an English school by her father. She has to go through the loss of friends and what it feels like to be left behind. The plot of the story is about how the Indians sold their land to the English, and English cheated them. It is also about how Indian children got along in the English world.I think someone should read this book because it tells how hard it was for Indians to make it in our world.

An Exelent Book

I thought this book is exelent! In this book you can feel what Nannie is going through. Her sorrows, her happiness, and most of all her life. I cried and felt sad but at the happy parts I felt happy too.
