"My Hair Story" encourages our girls to see the value of being themselves, appreciating their individual beauty, and embracing their authentic self-- starting with their hair! They are never too young to learn self-love and that everyone is a little different from each other. Our differences are our strengths, and "My Hair Story" teaches children these values in a gentle way they will understand.

The decision to write this book was based on experiences with my own daughter. As someone who wore braids and weaves quite often for work, I was asked by my then 6-year-old if she could wear weaves and that she wanted longer, softer textured hair. This became more and more frequent and I realized this needed some attention.
