Gunner's Mate First Class E.B. Dixon arrived in Pearl Harbor, December 8, 1941 onboard the USS CHESTER. The harbor was on fire. He fought with the CHESTER until a Japanese torpedo took him out of action in October 1942. After the war, E.B. Dixon settled into small town Indiana and quietly built furniture and raised a family. He hid his fondness for cooking from the world. He kept a recipe book tucked next to his photo album from before the war. This cookbook tells his story through that recipe collection, his photos, and the memories of his family.
