In his murder mystery, Gene Davis presented us with well-crafted, interesting characters and a great story line. From beginning to end, the reader is moved long from one subplot to the next with a mixture of southern personalities and language and the inside drama and happenings of a barbecue festival. What fun it would be to see this on the big screen as a movie.
