MUDDY PACK RAT

Muddy is a pack rat who loves to play in the mud. One day after the summer rains stopped he found a large mud puddle to play in. He rolled in the sticky, gooey mud. It felt so good until he could not move. Tears streamed down his face. The mud had dried and covered him and only his tail stuck out. Muddy's Dad recognized him when he saw his tail waving in the wind. Muddy's family washed and scrubbed him. All at once Muddy stood up. He danced with happiness. Now when he goes for a walk with his Father, Mother, and Sister and they approach a mud puddle, Muddy does not walk through the mud. He runs around the mud puddle.
