This is an unabridged paperback edition of The MS-DOS Encyclopedia. Features in the book include detailed, version-specified data plus articles by recognized experts covering specialized areas of MS-DOS for programming.
It can't be denied - MSDOS ruled the PC world for almost two decades. This book shows the nuts and bolts of how the operating system worked. Ignore the stories about Bill Gates and the MS team - get the code that was written to run the computer. This book is great for hopeful computer scientists who want to write the next best operating system - while DOS was not the best code around, it sure performed some neat tricks with the x86 family of chips. If you're doing assembly language on the x86, get this as a reference to writing your own utility commands. INT21 - Rest in Peace...
