Mrs. Toggle's Zipper

This story is based on the problems the school teacher, Mrs. Toggle, has with the zipper of her jacket. Different people in the school attempt to open the zipper without success. Enter the school custodian, who finally succeeds in opening the zipper. The custodian is patterned after my husband, who is Mr Abel in the story. He would go into the kindergarten class where the author's child was a student and help the children get their outer clothing on especially in the winter time. Her child's zipper got stuck and he fixed it - a little creative change in the story. There are several other books in the series that are based on different problems my husband encountered while at the school. The illustrations are very well done, the story is entertaining and good for children.

A delightful and enjoyable story about a teacher

I highly recommend this book to all children. My daughter loves Mrs. Toggle and asks me to read with her every night.

This book is warm and gentle and humorous--a feel-good story that makes you wish you were in Mrs. Toggle's class. Lively text complemented by soft and kid-friendly illustrations that add to the fun. Appropriate for younger children, but with enough humor for older kids to "grow into."
