Wilson A to Z

This is quite a comprehensive biography of US president Wilson. However, missing from the entire tale is Wilson's war on labor, the infamous Palmer Raids and all of turmoil in that sphere of life. Another missing element is the selling of WWI made so famous by Edward Bernays' instruction manual, "Propaganda" which Wilson so enthusiastically embraced. In spite of those 2 things the book is well worth a read because the author is so readable and the details are very interesting. The period covered spans the run up to WWI and the war itself. It was a time of great US expansion and the navy and other entities were transitioning from coal to oil giving the US the edge over European competition.
