Great first novel in WW2 British female spy series

I love the historical details the author put into the novel. A great mix of historical fiction, intrigue, mystery, puzzle solving and snarky wit.

Never received this book

I was looking forward to reading it. Alas, never made it to my mailbox. Anything I can do to retreive it?

Good Historical Novel

A friend of mine gave me the 2nd book in this series. The cover made it look like a corny romance novel so I put off reading it. One day, with nothing else close by, I happened to pick it up and ended up really enjoying it far more than I ever expected! So I got the 1st book ( this one) for myself. I enjoyed it just as much. I like the main character, Maggie Hope, a lot. I also enjoy learning about this time period and the famous people that she works for, especially Eleanor Roosevelt. The writing is very clear and straight forward. The plots are interesting and engrossing. I highly recommend this series for anyone interested in the pre and post WWII era.

Definitely a gripping novel!

Liked the mystery aspect. Easy read and very entertaining.

Great book!

I love historical reading and mystery. This book had both! It is rare that I find one that have both genres I love. I highly recommend this to you all.
