Good reading, captivates youngreaders AND baseball beginners

My son (5yrs-K) and daughter (6yrs-1stG) were both captivated by the story and loved the ideas about practising baseball. Mom loved it too because it not only is a great story for bedtime but also describes ways to practise this team sport indpendantly without assitance. It is a postive story which reinforces parenting encouragement of 'keeping at it' and 'practise makes perfect'. However this is way more than a learning book. It's a fun book with easy to follow story and nice illustrations. Dad also really enjoyed sharing it with our kids. As you can tell they enjoyed re-reading it and in fact asked for it three times on one day. I think all kids will enjoy it whether sporting minded or not. There is a charatcter Monk 'mouse' that you can buy to accompany the book.
