Learning about French and Learning About Life

Madame Nelson, "la vielle dragonne" was my most memorable teacher. We all learned French--and a little bit more. She taught us to extend ourselves to others in a constructive and compassionate way---while we were preparing for our busy, college-bound, baby boomer lives. At the same time, she taught us the discipline that we all so sorely needed to succeed in life. "Trente Minutes Chaque Soir" (thirty minutes each night) is a good lesson about what it takes to succeed in any endeavor. This book is about that love, that vision, and about teaching that to others.
