Motherhood Exposed is funny even without kids!

Katherine Grace's Motherhood Exposed is hilarious. A friend of mine recommended it, and at first I saw no reason to read it since I do not have children. Nevertheless, I did read it, and laughed all the way thru it. The author has a marvelously humorous way of discussing important parent/child relationships. But don't think that simply because the book is humorous it has nothing solid to say about parenting. Even without kids, I can clearly see Katherine Grace's wisdom in dealing with her children. All can profit from her wisdom. I am happy to recommend this book.

A humorous and all too insightful memoir of one mother's work to raise children

Motherhood Exposed is a humorous and all too insightful memoir of one mother's work to raise children, and the process by which her misconceptions about motherhood were shattered one after another. Debunking such widely held expectations of motherhood as "My Home Will Be Organized", "If You're Perfect Enough, You Can Parent with No Regrets", "I Will Be Appreciated in Sickness and in Health" and many others with the author's own true stories of sullen teens, eroding sanity, and depleted grocery budget, Motherhood Exposed is a refreshing island of honesty amid a sea of reality-warping sentimentalization. Highly recommended, enjoyable to read due to the brief length of the vignettes and overall upbeat tone, and an ideal gift for Mother's Day or mothers' birthdays.

from laughing to shedding a tear...

I found this book to be extremely enjoyable. So easy to relate to as a Mom and a Grandmom. I went from laughing to shedding a tear. So many humorous stories with a refreshing and down-to-earth appeal. It was not only great reading for relaxation and entertainment, but also had some thought provoking insights. I loved the wisdom learned from each encounter with the children and would recommend this book to all.

Easy to pick up... hard to put down!

A book that sheds light on the "normal" parenting experience. Katherine Grace peels away the loft goals that parents try to attain and reveals truth, laughter, and genuine love. I find this book easy to pick up and hard to put down; even when I'm worn out at the end of the day. WARNING: this book is a "warts and all" view of parenting. You may find yourself laughing out loud in Public Places!

Loved It!

Motherhood Exposed is a surefire way to feel good about what you do as a mother. I laughed my way through chapter after chapter only to find my heart touched at each one's conclusion. Katherine Grace's colorful style and witty perspective make it a fun and refreshing read!
