Perfect fit for my need. It was part of a basket I was putting together. My sister loved it.

Made Me Laugh

I first stumbled upon these recreated nursery rhymes when a good friend sent me an email that contained some of them. I laughed, and posted it on my blog Smiling Sally. I did not know that the book existed! This is a funny book. The art work is terrific. Some of the rhymes stumble a bit, but I quickly forgive anyone who gives me a chuckle. And, this book is chock full of chuckles. I especially liked Low-Fat Cake, No-Cal Shake. I sang along (to the tune of London Bridge Is Falling Down on page 43) to My Poor Sadie. The final page lists the original nursery rhyme titles. I think that it would make an excellent gift for anyone with a sense of humor over the age of forty. Note: contains some profanity and adult themes.

Mother Goose Ages Well

This is a nice take on Mother Goose's fairy tales. Many familiar tales have been "tweaked" with a focus on the banes of middle age. I bought it as a gift for my husband who just turned 60 and found that most of the tales fit his current profile. The colorful illustrations add subtle humor to go along with the prose. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and so did my husband. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a unique gift for someone who is in his or her mid-life years.

witty and very smart

What a book!..perfect for a gift or for yourself. The witty poems capture all of the nuances of the trials and tribulations of aging(both in mind and body), as well as poking fun at the difficulties in becoming part of a generation that is no longer "cool". The poems, loosely based on traditional Mother Goose rhymes, will make you laugh with recognition. The brilliantly colored original illustrations are also very funny and wonderful to look at and capture the essence of each poem. This is a great book for any man or woman who is dealing with mid-life changes and has a sense of humor.

Really funny and great artwork

Any Baby Boomer will find this book hilarious. The artwork is superb. Leave this book on your coffee table for all your baby boomer friends to look at.
