Grabbed Your Attention and KEPT IT!

Stephen Ford may not be a well known author but Mortality was still pretty darn good. After reading several average books this month, it was a relief to read a book that actually grabbed a readers attention. The plot was different also with the "villain" in this case experimenting on others (who wanted to look younger) and his nephew who did not give consent so the villain could possibly find a cure for his son dying of Progeria (aging disease) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progeria The side affects of the drug are brain tumors which cause people to act violently against themselves and/or others. Bad guys, even if doing it for good reasons, usually don't fare well in books and in the end, neither did this bad guy.

what a fun read

This was one of the better medical mysteries I have read. The plot hooked me right away. The only downside was the ending was a little too neat.

Keeps you Reading

Mortality is a book that brings quite a few adventures and interesting views. A couple of doctors, Paul Tobin (an ex-alcoholic, given a second chance of a surgeon), and Ethan Granier his brother and law first work at Manhattan General, and then Paul is let go, and Ethan decides that he is going to open an anti-aging clinic down in the Keys of Florida. Ethan has an ulterior motive to the practices of this clinic, it hits close to home when his son is part of some problems of a rare disease. Read the book to find out more about the problems faced at the clinic, and with Tobin and Granier.
