"Give me Arianrood and I will let the rest of you live."

When I first discovered the first Morigu book, a circle of friends that did alot of roleplaying asked me to read it. I wasn't allowed to talk about it until I was finished and when we met again I was to name my favorite character. Well, I think I named five, lol. I have read close to 600 fantasy novels since then and have yet to be sucked in like I was by page 13 of this book. So well orchestrated are the players, both good and evil, that it feels like a symphony masterpiece. Reading the second book was much the same, not knowing what would happen to your current favorite character, (They don't seem to last long!) Since then I have bargained with many a friend and co-worker to trade with me their favorite book while I let them read the Morigu. All but once have I won the gamble and over half of those people have their own copies. You have many tragic characters, all of which are very believable. All of which evil tries to break their spirit time and again. I had been impressed by the intensity of the story at least a dozen times, weaving all the characters into a wonderful tale. But, after reading what happened to all the women in the second novel, I was convinced there wasn't a finer fantasy novel in existence. The outline and planning of evil is unlike none I have ever read.Thank you Mr. Perry for your gift to literature. I am glad you are alive and well. (My role-playing group was worried.) Though it pains me, I understand if you never finish the third novel. I know it would be Mearead's book, but what an incredible task you have on that one.The quote above is one of my favorites, and when you read it in its context, I'm am certain it will be one of yours as well.

Morigunamachamain - truly unique, truly brilliant work!

Ok. I want to start by saying that I read Morigu : The Desecration the very first week it was released in the US...I took it home ( I think I was 16 ) and read it till my eyes hurt. Since then I have read hundreds of novels within the fantasy genre and for some reason Morigu kept itching at the back of my head. I go to Google and type in Morigu and viola! Here is a transcript from Mr. Perry commenting on his work. Finish the series and allow the fans to relive the fantastical tale of the Morigu...I miss characters like Eventine and Lonnlarkan! Return to writing that magical prose you've left dormant.

They Don't Offer Enough Stars!!

MY EIGHT YEAR SEARCH IS FINALLY OVER!! The universal question of "where is Mark C. Perry and why hasn't he finished, or come out with another book?" is over! Now, if we could just get that third book, the sky would be a little bluer, sunshine a little brighter! I first read "Desecration" in '92, six years after it's release and read "The Dead" about a week later. Now everytime I go to the bookstore, I check under "P" in the Sci-Fi section just in case...like so many others. I've been doing this for eight years, ever-hopeful for a third book. Since then I have read Brooks, Eddings, Goodkind searching for the same scale of fantasy-prose and NONE compare to The Morigu books. These books are timeless and have the grand sweep of epic battles involving characters you truly love (and love to hate). Good and evil have never clashed as they do in these books, as gods and demi-gods stride the earth in contest with man, elf and dwarf against forces of exceptional evil...

Where's the next book in this amazing series?

I read both books in the Morigu series 13 years ago and am still waiting for the next installment. Where else can you find Death battling the Lord of Undead? All heroes and villains have god-like powers and battle each other with amazing pyrotechnic. The prose won't win any award, but the action are without equal.Twenty years of reading fantasy fiction fiction and the 2 books of this series are still my favorite. To Questar: It's been 13 years. Pay Mark C Perry whatever he wants so he can finish the d*** series. There are fans waiting.

This series of books is ground breaking sci-fantasy

When "The Desecration" came out, I immediately realized that it was the best book that I have read. Mark C. Perry is a great author who ranks up there with Robert Jordan, David Eddings and Raymond E. Feist. I was lucky and fortunate to get my hands on "The Dead", the second book in the series and it carried on the incredible characters , making us either love their heroics or despise their cowardliness. Who could fail to sympathize with the Morigu, or feel Mearead's pain at the death of Colin. The betrayal of Arianrood made me angry and bitter. The only thing that makes me more bitter is the lack of a conclusion or continuation to this great series. Mark C. Perry, I am begging you to continue this series or someone shed some light on your status. Are you dead, (I hope not) or are you unaware of what a great writer you are. Please, Please let us know.
