When a meteorite crashes into a remote field in Kansas, Agent Andrew Wu of the Department of Homeland Security assumes dealing with it will be just like any other day of not-quite-normal work. Infected by a strange alien organism, Andrew begins to undergo some confusing changes, leaving it up to Merlin, a man who has been secretly in love with him, to solve the mystery before things can escalate into dangerous territory. Descending Adamant is a cross-genre Sci-Fi/Horror/LGBT novel with a focus on creating a diverse cast, and using hard science fiction to develop an atmosphere of discomfort that slow-burns to outright horror.
