I have part one of this book and have used it often. This second volume is also useful for created simple, period costumes, especially for school plays.
Great costume resource

"More costumes for the stage" is an excellent resource for anyone interested in historical costumes - especially if information is needed about garments from a wide range of cultures. Diagrams, drawings and patterns are included on almost every page with chapters about fabrics, masks, costume building, accessories and the workplace. Costume information ranges from ancient Egyptian, Ancient Greek, Roman, Medieval, The renaissance, 17th century, 18th century, The Regency, the 19th century, 1895-1939 and WW2. Ethnic, carnival and animal costumes also make an appearance. For anyone interested in learning more about costume, historical dress or about to help out in a local performance, this guide is invaluable. The only fault I could find is that perhaps the pictures on some pages are too clutered, but this is made up for by the easy to use layout of the book. Well worth the money.
