More Chinglish: Speaking in Tongues [Chinese]

More Chinglish: Speaking in Tongues offers a fresh look at the unintentional but very funny creative misuses of the English language in Chinese street signs, products, and advertising. Enjoy 100 brand-new examples of this unique cultural heritage, which, due to efforts from the Chinese government to wipe out all forms of incorrect signage and advertising, is about to disappear.

The Most Concise, Easy to Use Book of Its Kind!

Whether you are a professional speaker, a blogger, a student or in business, good grammar is essential. "Grammar Done Right" is a must have for anyone who writes. THE CHAPTERS: * "Numerals & Numbers" * "Punctuation" * "Grammar" * "Word Choice" * "Style & Usage" When I have a question about grammar or punctuation, I want to find the answer quickly. "Grammar Done Right" has become my writing bible. It has earned a permanent place next to my computer.

Quick and simple reference

This is an easy-to-understand reference with great examples that I like to keep on my shelf.

Handy Quick Reference

Full disclosure: Karen is my sister-in-law. Even if my comments are discounted because of the family connection, you should know that this book would be a great addition to your desktop library. My professional work includes expositive and persuasive writing on sometimes arcane topics, and I have consulted Grammar Done Right to add clarity to legal, technical and other formal writings. This reference volume is most useful, however, in drafting correspondence, and in making all our informal communications more literate. It offers a contemporary view on many frequently encountered usage and grammar questions, and it is easier to use than volumes like Fowler's Modern English Usage or similar reference works. (Grammar Done Right does not purport to replace more comprehensive treatises.) This edition includes more tips than the first. And it retains the memory clues and usage hints that can save you the trouble of looking up the same things over and over.

A Must Have For All Authors

Grammar Done Right! is my favorite and most used desk reference. Karen Reddick has provided a superb compilation of grammar, punctuation, and style tips that every writer, professional or beginner, encounters on a regular basis. The book is organized in such a logical fashion that you can quickly find what you need and get back to writing. Instead of a list of rules, every tip is illustrated by examples of how to properly use a word or punctuation and often includes common misuses as well. While the Chicago Manual of Style may be considered the de facto standard, I rarely use it because I reach for Grammar Done Right! first and have always found the answer to my query there. Language is fluid. Spellings change as words come into common usage. Reddick addresses this fact in the expanded and revised 2nd edition. She makes suggestions for the different ways terms may be used in professional and casual writing. The examples are especially helpful with technical terminology. With so much information being delivered electronically via the Internet and by e-mail, Grammar Done Right! is a must have resource for all business professionals and those who write for Internet publication including bloggers. Faithfully consulting Grammar Done Right! has helped me evolve into a better writer. I'm looking forward to my new copy of the 2nd edition becoming an old friend and getting as worn and dog-eared as the first one. MaAnna Stephenson Author of Just the FAQs series Finally! Grammar Done Right 2nd Edition

As an elderly mentor to six grade students. I have found Grammar Done Right 2nd Edition to be a very helpful reference book for these students. This should be a must in all schools. Donna J. Dulinsky
