Immoral Combat

This book has a very limited scope. It appears that both authors are gamers, many of whom defend violent video games. There are hundreds of psychological and neuroscientific studies, which the authors ignore, that show that violent video games cause increases in aggression and violence. My book, "The Crisis of School Violence: A New Perspective" (Michigan State University Press, 2020) includes this research and lays to rest the debate about a connection between violent video games and rampage shootings. MSNBC today reported that adolescents involved in a recent rampage shooting admitted that they were influenced by Grand Theft Auto which, like Mortal Kombat, raises the bar on video games violence. "Moral Combat" is one-sided, not objective and failes to include relevant research.
