Eve Anderson is darned tired of Kenzie Gregor meddling in her business. She might be struggling to keep herself and her ailing mother financially afloat, but she's no princess in need of a strong, capable knight in a black SUV to rescue her -- even if he is easy on the eyes. Besides, there's something very odd about him...and she's sure the strange events occurring in their small coastal Maine town are linked to his recent arrival. Once an immortal warrior cursed to live as a panther, Kenzie is finally free to live and die as a man, and his destiny is to help other displaced souls. Of course, if he can get tiny, blue-eyed, curly blond Eve out of the deal, well...life doesn't get any better. But she's as stubborn and fierce as a lioness, and in order to win her love, he must tempt her with forbidden desires....
I have read and reread 8 or 9 of Janet Chapman's books. Her characters make me feel like I am visiting good friends. The stories are interesting and fun.

I love all Chapman's books. There are like a little vacation for me. I love the highland series. I can't wait for her next one. In fact, I always preorder months in advance for her books.

Kenzie Gregor has decided to move to the coast of Maine from the mountains, as he feels it will be a better place to help the souls of his destiny. It will also be a good place for William (the man trapped in a dragons body) to be able to roam and stay away from humans, or so they think. Kenzie find the perfect point of land and even a few small islands as part of the property. What he doesn't count on is the fact that the land is sold out from under the current inhabitants. When he meets both Eve and her mother he knows he can't throw them out. Especially when, all he can think about is making Eve his own. Will he be able to win her over and can they all live together peacefully? Eve has sworn off men after her cheating husband ran off with the neighbor. So she was moved back to Maine to be with her mother who has a terminal issue with her brain, which is slowly taking her ability to remember short term things away, and will eventually cost her, her life. But will the impending storms and interactions between Kenzie and Eve make things even more hazardous? Moonlight Warrior is the latest winner from Ms. Chapman and the start of a coastal series. While this story ties in with the rest of her highland warrior series it is easily a read alone story. I was thoroughly intrigued how both Kenzie and William would fit into a coastal community. And, how such a community would react to the strange happenings out on the point. I found that how Ms. Chapman wove a tragic medical condition into their lives was also inspirational, especially how it sometimes takes an outsider to help us all see clearer. As a fellow Mainer I agree with how Ms. Chapman portrays the communities she writes about. I am still one of her biggest fans and hope she continues to write for many more years. If you have liked any of her highland warriors, love Maine and/or are intrigued by the paranormal you will thoroughly enjoy Moonlight Warrior. Tanya Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
terrific urban fantasy romance

In Midnight Bay, Maine former immortal warrior Kenzie Gregor is looking forward to starting life anew now that he has broken out of his panther curse. The druid Daar and William the still cursed dragon stay at his side as Kenzie buys them a place to live. However Kenzie feels guilty that the local bank sold to him an estate without the consent of its brain addled owner Widow Mabel Bishop and her recently divorced daughter Eve Anderson. Though not legally obligated he invites the mother and daughter to remain on the property. William is attracted to Eve, but the witch who cursed William visits the estate using her evil magic to place Kenzie, his friends and the Anderson females in peril. MOONLIGHT WARRIOR is a terrific urban fantasy romance starring a strong lead couple and an incredible support cast. The story line engages the reader due to the five occupants of what was the widow's home. Fans especially will feel for Eve as she watches helplessly as her beloved mom loses her mind; her stress levels between the divorce, her mom's declining mental health, accepting the seemingly impossible outside of fantasy tales, and falling in love must be astronomic. Janet Chapman provides a poignant tale filled with pathos, action, and love. Harriet Klausner
