I love this series!! Such a good storyteller

Moonlight on the Millpond

The last thing Jace Randall wants is to be smitten with a woman. His sister, Eden, said it would happen when he moved to Tucker Mills to help his uncle run the sawmill. Now he wants to prove her wrong. That is, until he runs into Maddie Shepard. Not even winning a battle with the sister who raised him can help him keep his heart in check. What he doesn't reckon on is Eden's need to control his life - or the lengths to which she will go to separate his from Maddie. Only when Eden succeeds in ruining her brother's hopes does she finally realize what her meddling has cost. Will she find a way to make things right with her brother? Will Jace and Maddie be able to forgive each other and find a way back to their love? Can seeds of faith be planted in ground grown hard with betrayal? --- from book's dustjacket

A good beginning

For the first book in this series, I was impressed. This was the first book by Lori Wick that I had read and I'll be a repeat fan. Through Wick's depiction of the life "back in the day", I felt as though I was part of the town. She shows how deceit can tear away from God's plans and how if we don't give our problems to God, they'll just eat away at us until we have nothing left. It shows the questions of one person in trying to find God, and gives you answers you probably couldn't think of yourself. This was a good start to the series and I can't wait to find out what happens next!!

Yeah for Lori Wick

This is the story about a young man Jace that comes to help his uncle work his farm and mill and a young woman Maddie who come to help her uncle and aunt run their store because her uncle has had heart problems. Both of them were orphaned at a young and age. Both think that they are not looking for love. Both need to learn about love and trust and Jesus. I thought it was a great story! Except for the very begining, I found none of this book confusing unlike some of the other reviewers. I felt that this was Mrs. Wick's best book since Pretense. If her character's acted different than some of her other's it was because they were different, they weren't saved! I also liked that fact that Jace and Maddie struggled with their faith questions. Not everybody gets it just because they hear the word and not everybody goes to a church where they believe in Jesus as the only way to get to heaven. I felt there struggle was realistic and though the end was a bit dissappointing at first, it made me want to read the next book. I definetly think that it was a change from her usual approach but a change for the better in my opinion! Keep them coming Lori!

One of Lori Wicks Best Books

Ok, I read what people thought of this book, and I was surprised. I loved this book. I agree with some that it kinda skipped around, but the book was still enjoyable. I plan to buy every book in this series.
