Romance is the Best Cure for a Mending Heart

Philippa Ross is a reporter for the London Clarion and she's just been jilted by the Clarion's lady's man, Rick Lestor. She'd been warned, but she thought she could be the one to make Rick change his ways. She is distraught. Her editor, seeing her like this, assigns her to get an interview with the famous archaeologist Drew Gilmore to take her mind off Rick.Philippa goes to where Ross is staying in Kent, but a woman at the door says he isn't there. Philippa knows a good reporter would demand to know where he is, but she just can't. She gets in her car to leave, it won't start. She is really frustrated now, when who should come to her rescue but the famous man himself. After a brief conversation, he invites her in, introduces her to Suzy, the child of friends who have passed away. Drew is rasing Suzy and needs some one to look after her a bit. He also needs a personal secretary, so he hires Philippa. And before you think that Drew, Philippa and Suzy are going to happily settle into being the model family, think again, because Ross is still out there and he'll be around. Also there is Tannis, Drew's ex-wife, who dies in a plane crash, but then mysteriously seems to come back from the dead and that's just part of the turbulent, but oh so interesting road you'll have to follow to get to the end of this super romance."Moonglade" is written in the first person from Philippa's point of view and that's very unusual for a romance. I found it to be a very refreshing change, but who's to say it was a change, as this romance was written back in 1974, way before I was even a twinkle in my father's eye. However, even though it was penned more than a quarter century ago, it's well worth reading. I loved it and I think you will too.A Harlequin Dreamers Review by Gracie Houston
