Paid for this book and the top inch and one half was chewed off. Really not acceptable.

Great book!

I am a professional gardener and this book is so great! Anything that Walter Reeves does is awesome! This book is split up by month and each month is extremely detailed with information on grass upkeep and care, shrubs, etc. It also tells you when to fertilize/prune specific plants. I highly recommend this for professionals and people who lack a green thumb in Georgia!

Great Reminder

This book contains excellent basic information about when to take care of the various plants in the yard. A great book for reminders about lawn care, when to prune what and other general tips for your Southern yard.

Excellent Book

Fantastic book, particularly for new gardeners or home owners. It breaks down plants into categories (annuals, bulbs, trees, houseplants, etc) then gives you monthly direction on caring for the plants. The back contains some appendixes which recommend varieties and pesticides. If you're interested in vegetable gardening, combine this book with Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Book.

Great Reference

This book was loaned to me by a long-time gardener at church who said it was the best out there and now I have my own copy becuase I kept going to her house to look up something. I love the way it seperates chores by month and area of garden.

A Good Reference Book

Being new to the area, and wanting to get familiar with local plants, I found the information in this book to be very helpful. The month by month directions were helpful for plants I was unfamiliar with. My bigest critisim of it would be that there are no color pictures of the plants described so you have to have a hefty botanical book in order to see all of the plants mentioned. They should have a reference section such as that of Southern Living or Sunset which has small color pictures showing the desribed plants. That would make this book perfect.
