Mom...You're Not Naked, Are You is Captivating

Donna Abear's book is a humerous take on the lives of a family of six (not including pets), and the trials and tribulations which accompany a family of this size. The book is funny as Ms. Abear points out the obvious differences in the way women and men look at life's ups and downs and day to day occurrences. She portrays the children as fun loving, interesting but exasperating at times. Her observations on newly weds, Oprah and the Chicago Bulls are all enjoyable and funny. I would compare this book with Erma Bombeck 's style of writing and recommend it as good reading to anyone who enjoys laughing at life's twists and turns.

Good Humor

Having read a number of Ms. Abears columns I was pleasantly surprised to find this collection in book form. It is a book that can be devoured in a variety of ways, as it lends itself to being read when you have a little time or alot of time. Its humor crosses gender and age boundaries with great facility and the artwork can be enjoyed by itself or as an enhancement to the topic. Good for the coffee table or the powder room reading rack.

Mom You're Not Naked, Are You?

I enjoyed Ms. Abear's book because it is a humorous account of a working mother's daily trials in a family with four children, husband and pets. She is very down-to-earth in the Erma Bombeck style of writing. The reader feels as though he knows the author and can identify with many of her everyday experiences. Light, enjoyable reading for everyone!

Mom ...You're Not Naked Are You?

Fun to read for the whole family! This book was truly a pleasure to read, it reminded me of my life with my husband and children. I really liked that my children (ages 12 and 9) are reading this book and I do not have to worry about content! I seldom laugh while reading books but this one tickled me. Ms. Abears views on life, living, and family are expressed with such humor that I viewed my own family in a whole new way! Bravo Donna!
