Through a process of systematic deduction, Molly finds not only her lost stuffed dinosaur, Moe, but lots of other things she's misplaced. This description may be from another edition of this product.
As a little girl named Molly, i felt like this book was written just for me when i was a child. It was such a wonderful story about how dreadful it feels to lose something special to you and how much you cherish it when it turns up again. Molly is very head-strong, sloppy and outspoken and i loved her as a child. The illustrations were also really beautiful. My mom actually came to my first grade classroom (way back in 1975) to read the book to me and my classmates and all the kids sewed their own Moe to take home with them. I still have my little stuffed Moe and it has found a special home in my son's bedroom. My copy of Molly's Moe has gone missing over the years and now that i have a child of my own, I wish i had it to read to him...a sweet memory.
For the parents of a "special" child

If you have a child who likes to do things "their way" from an early age you can appreciate this story about a little girl who loses her special blanket "Moe". A simple story but one that both my children loved to hear over and over again. Maybe because Molly is stubborn and sure about what she wants to do. When Molly wants to put her "pretty little party tights" on she does no matter what the opinion of adults. It's one of those children's books that have almost a musical quality. The words come back to you like an old song that brings memories of holding your child on your lap while they giggled with delight as you read a favorite story. A feeling you would like to give to another parent. I wish this book hadn't gone out of print.
