Timely Arrival

Finally, a book that got to me before I absolutely had to have it - thanks for decreasing my stress! Mint condition too.

Excellent text book

This book is a valuable resource for students, teachers andresearchers. The coverage is broad within the subject area,whilst the material is both accessible and authoritative.This third edition includes valuable extensions and updatesto the earlier ones. I am glad to recommend this text to my students at each ofundergraduate (BEng/MEng), taught postgraduate (MSc) and research (MPhil, PhD)levels to support their learning and use of transport models. The book makes an especially suitabletext for transport modelling courses at MSc level.

Very clear and complete, therefore extremely useful.

I frequently use Ortuzar and Willumsen book (I have used both editions) and I think it is one of the best books in this field. It gives the fundmental basics of transportation in a clear and straight-forward way. For the cloth cover edition price, it is a good deal.

Excellent support for lecturing transport demand

The book describes all the basic elements of transport demand modelling in a comprehensible way, including recent developments on the different subjects. It gives detailed references pointing to the original sources and to directions for further reading. We have used this book as a main reading material for our MSc level Transport Demand course; specially for Trip Generation and Modal Split models.

The coverage and the clarity of presentation is outstanding.

The book is comprehensive and easy to read. It covers a wide variety of topics in transport planning with special emphasis in modelling. Each chapter comes with a set of excersises (very convenient for midterm exams!). The second version has included new material both in demand and network modelling. Summarising,the book's coverage and the clarity of presentation is outstanding
