MISSING IN ACTION is the first of MIA series that takes paranormal to a whole new level as Tristan McKade and his partner Shamus Long, both genetically enhanced solders, created for the sole purpose of working for the Supernatural Control Squad. Both were thought to be dead by their families. So when Tristan shows up and saves Sara, a woman he'd been in love with before the accident, from a vampire attack, he had a lot of explaining to do. Trouble is, he the SCS is a secret organization and he can't reveal enough to satisfy her. The story is filled with plenty of action. In fact, I wondered about midway through if maybe there was too much crammed into such a short book. I felt the background information of Tristan's job, for example, wasn't deep enough and would have liked to know more. This would have been one of those books that could have been lengthened to make a full 330 some odd pages and kept the reader interest all the way until the end. If the story had been allowed to develop more, it would have been more believable. Maybe more will be revealed in book two, SHAMEFUL, which is now in print.

The only ones that know he isn't are the SCS. Being dead gives him the edge to search for a series killer. working for the Supernatural Control Squad has it's moments, but this is the best way to stop a mad killer that can't be stopped any other way. But in doing that he had to leave Sara McCoy, and that was one of the hardest things he could have ever did. Wanting to let go of the past before any more woman get hurt or worse die, he goes and sees Sara late at night to say his goodbyes to the woman he loved more then anything. And unknown to him, the son he never new he had. When Tristan finds out that Sara had had his son, there child he knows he can't live her and there son no matter what. So Sara becomes drawn into the triangle of his life and the Mangler, the entity that wants to possess Sara at any cost.Can Tristan keep Sara and his son safe from this Being? In the end Tristan has to make sure he is the last man standing for his Sara and there son? Sara McCoy was just starting to live again since she lost Tristan. She has gone on with her life and is about to be married. It isn't what she thought her life was going to be since losing Tristan, but you must go on or be as good as dead. She is celebrating her future and her engagement, but notices a man watching in the back of the room, who is he and what does he want she wonders? He reminds her of her Tristan, but it couldn't be. So when he goes outside she decides to follow. But when she goes out to find him, he has just vanished into thin air. Sara thought she was just about able to get past losing Tristan, and then he shows up. See what Tristan didn't know is that when she thought she had lost him, she had had his son . When he learns of there son, he couldn't leave her period now, It would have been hard enough to leave just her to keep her safe from the Being he is chasing, the being that wants Sara. Can the two of them work together to beat this killer and have the future that was stolen from them until now? "Oh God" this story was Damn Great. But come on what did we expect, right? This author knows how to write a story with Intrigue and passion and story line, all of what you need for a 5 book. I loved the passion that was between these two. And the storyline, of her thinking she lost the love of his life, and raising their son by herself has happened to many times in real life, so to read a story with a happy ever after, for me as a reader is so "Great".
