Boring and trite

There really is NO plot to speak of. The narrative is rather dull and the dialogue unimaginative. The characters have no depth and it’s hard to identify with any of them. More like caricatures who speak and act in cliches. The whole thing is formulaic- feels like a 14 yr old said ‘I can write a book’. Prior readers of the copy I received must have felt the same way, as my very abused copy fell apart as soon as I opened it, having been (unsuccessfully) held together with packing tape).
