I absolutely loved this book. The story is part marriage of convenience and part wounded war hero regency. The story is quite the love story as both the hero and heroine are really good people-which is such a nice change of pace from the petulant beauty or notorious rake storyline that seems to pervade most regencies. While I do not want to give the storyline away, lets just say that if you're like me and read a lot of traditional Regencies then I think you'll love this book. I finished it in a day it was so good. The bedroom scenes were mild to mildly flirtatious. The story abounds with villians, love stories, adventure and just a plain good story. Highly recommended-5 stars!
A Nice Read

This was a story of how a timid, impoverished young girl who was treated as a non-paid servant at her aunt's house, and a handsome earl who was scarred from the war lost his self-assurance due to the rejection of his marriage proposal and injury of his body; and how they changed and impowered each other through the marriage of convenience. It was a pleasant read--nothing too dramatic and nothing too unbelievable, just two lonely people finding love from their despaired situation. I recommend it as a quiet read.
