We read a book about meditation, stress reduction, or mindfulness. Then we get cut off in traffic, return home to find that our spouse has left the dishes in the sink again, or learn that the check we wrote to the electric company has bounced. What we need is a way to keep our inner balance through the trials of daily life. MINDFUL MOMENTS is a collection of tips and exercises focusing on simple ways to make mundane tasks meaningful - from standing in line at the grocery store to house cleaning to sitting through meetings at work. Go through the day assuming that everyone you meet has something to teach you. Turn stressful tasks like paying bills and managing your accounts into opportunities to focus your mind on thoughts of prosperity and plenty. The approaches to creating a harmonious, conscious life vary from simple breathing exercises and meditation techniques to information on aromatherapy, feng shui, and yoga postures. Tips on conscious cooking and eating explore how nutrition affects your state of mind.

Useful and empowering

A very useful and empowering book, on how to live life for the moment , and fully cultivate happiness , creativity and inner peace.. Contains real advice that can be used right now. Tzivia Gover draws on wisdom from throughout the ages, from the Jewish Torah , to Zen Buddhism . She points out how the 16th century Saint , Teresa of Avila said that she could find G-D as easily in the kitchen , among her pots and pans as she could at the altar. Admiring and benefiting from nature, arts and crafts , hobbies and meditation , listening , hearing , and gaining inner meaning from seemingly mundane taks-all of this is contained in this helpful and inspiring book. Gover reminds us that we do not need to incorporate all these tips and ideas at once, that instead we must choose the ones that work for us in the context of our lives.
Everyday wisdom

In the path of Jon Kabat Zinn ("Wherever You Go, There You Are) and Sue Bender ("Everyday Sacred"), Tzivia Gover captures the essence of being human in a very inhuman society. Each page of this book is filled with ideas which can be implemented RIGHT NOW in our lives. And, if done, the enrichment from practicing these concepts overshadows a world filled with too much hate and anxiety.I applaud Ms. Gover's insight and ability in bringing forth the wisdom of so many of our spiritual masters.
