"WHATCHA lookin' at?"

Margaret Moseley (of BONITA FAYE fame) manages once again to get inside the head of an eccentric female protagonist and make her readers believe every bizarre twist on the wild ride. From the get-go, Moseley's Milicent Le Sueur captured my curiosity and lured me deeper into a tale of murder and deceit, inviting me to revel in the quirks of the schizophrenic bag lady as the only witness to the killing of a young girl.You'll find yourself counting along with her as she obsessively accounts for all of her shopping bags, the steps into the police station, and which cell she'll sleep in at the station. She's comedic and tragic, and she'll steal your heart. Don't plan to accomplish anything constructive once you start reading--MILICENT LE SUEUR is a reading-at-stoplights-on-the-way-home kind of book!

Whoop-de-doo!

I seldom pop out laughing when I am reading a book...especially a mystery. As Milicent's character develops and my affection for her increases, I am touched by the plight of all the people she represents. The humor she distributes does not dilute the suspense. Moseley is a natural humorist and Milicent is a most refreshing read. Could there be a sequel?

I had the pleasure of meeting Milicent Lesueurs'Author before Milicent with one L was published, at that time I learned about Bonita Faye and the other wonderful books by this Fantastic Author. Mrs. Moseley can take a charater and make it live, everytime I see a KFC I'll think about a biscuit and coffee. And Milicent with one L, she's a little bit of me and everyone else I know, Wade Tate is a very kind hearted man who cares for Milicent, and wants to protect her. And then there's Miss Vinnie Ledbetter and last but not forgotten KAREN. I've told everyone I meet about Margaret Mosesly and all of her wonderful books, and I was just sorry Milicent LeSueur from the Green Pea LeSueur wasn't longer, I looking forward to more of Margaret Moseley.

Everyone needs a Millicent Le Sueur in their lives! a Bag Lady? ... yeah, right! A formibable task for for any author. Yet Ms. Moseley flawlessley pulls it off. You not only care deeply about this high spirited and loveable character but you quickly become intrigued with what Millicent will do next. The pages will fly.The lady with the 10 perfect bags is a breath of fresh air as she floats between her rock and her hard place. What flair! What Style! Makes you want to shout, BRAVO, Millicent!

I LOVED this book. . .

I've been a fan of Margaret Moseley ever since her Edgar-nominated 'BonitaFaye.' So I eagerly grabbed her latest novel, MILICENT LeSUEUR, and boy, oh boy, was I glad I did.Milicent LeSueur is a bag lady, literally. Her last name comes from a can a peas, and that wasjust my first giggle. This is a laugh-out-loud book, but witty rather thanbelly-chuckly. Well, okay, I belly-chuckled, especially when Milicent talks about Ricky, Ethel andFred.MILICENT LeSUEUR is peopled by wonderful characters, including an empatheticcop named Wade Tate, who is tall enough to carry a gun but short enough to notlook like a bully doing it.I LOVED this book, a feel-good book, a wish-I-coulda'-written-it book. VeryHighly recommended.
