Little does Ginger McFarley realize when she accompanies her sister, Amelia, to the 1992 Olympics that she has begun a journey which will profoundly affect her life. Ginger's brief relationship with Terje Faegri has soured her on men, unfortunate, since she will meet the gentle and understanding Daniel Ellis in Nashville. The death of Ginger's father complicates the new relationship with Daniel and forces her to deal with the emotional baggage which has long traveled with her.
