Book Overview

Running away led Sandra home.

Searching for her past, Sandra meets her future...

Everyone said Sandra Tate had it all. She ran the multi-million dollar corporation she'd built from scratch, drove a silver Jaguar, and lived in an elegant penthouse with her beautiful lover from an old Dallas society family. Everything she touched, it seemed, turned to gold.

Beneath the glamorous veneer, however, Sandra Tate viewed her life quite differently. At work, it seemed the corporation ran her and left little time for the architectural design work she truly loved. At home, she was consumed with self-doubt over a relationship that had gone stale years ago. Now that Sandra had made it to the top, the poor girl from the wrong side of the tracks felt empty and powerless.

Forced to take a leave of absence from her business, Sandra found herself adrift until a mysterious letter from the past propelled her to search for her mother-the woman who abandoned her when she was a child. When the journey leads her to a small diner in San Antonio, Sandra lets go of her golden life and finally begins to live...

Frankie J. Jones is the best selling author of Room For Love, Captive Heart, Whispers in the Wind, and Rhythm Tide.

Golden touch with a heart

Midas touch was a little slow to start but after a while, I caught myself not wanting to put it down. You want to see Sandra happy and you will fall in love with Cory. You will enjoy most of the characters in this book and pity a few for not knowing what makes a person truly happy! I enjoyed this book and I am very glad I gave it a chance. In the end it is a good read. There is humor, love, friendship, and lots of sex! Almost makes me want to go out and buy a bike!

Implausible but fun to read

I didn't want to put the book down. The storyline was farfetched but still so well done. It was a welcome relief, with plenty of stuff to make you laugh - and enough sex to keep you satisfied.

Money doesn't solve all the world's problems

Sandra Tate is a gifted architect. This gift allowed her to move up from an underpriviledged to a wealthy lifestyle. However, she's overstressed, her girlfriend is cheating, and she's miserable. After her health takes a turn for the worse, she listens to her doctor and takes a leave of absence from her company. Meaning to relax, she finds herself washing dishes for Cory. This book made me laugh - a lot. I could relate to the characters on a personal level. They took things slow and let the passion build. Even the plot twist at the end was welcomed. Recommended for a rainy afternoon because it's hard to put down.

Searching

Sandra Tate is a highly successful architect whose personal life is disjointed and slowly falling apart. After ending her long-term relationship and then recuperating from a serious health scare, she finds a clue in her deceased father's belongings as to her long-lost mother's whereabouts. Sandra buys a motorcycle and begins her journey to find her mother, and along the way she finds herself healing and finding a real love. After a rocky start, "Midas Touch" becomes a fun lesbian romance about a third of the way through, where the reader eagerly awaits the resolution of Sandra's journey. Frankie Jones delivers not only some hot sex, but a marvelous romance that charms and entertains.
