Not Just Another Book

Bill Clem has made a great read with "Microbe". Not only is this novel a wonderful thriller, but it is attention grabbing and exciting to read as well. The plot is unlike other novels that you might have read. In this entertaining--yet grabbing--read, a meteor has crashed to earth, infecting earth with a deadly micro-organism that has deleterious effects on human life. The protagonist, Justin Flannigan, seems to be the only hope as time quickly ticks by. This novel is a great read for lovers of "The Andromeda Strain" by Michael Crichton, as it brings the old sci-fi adventure into a new perspective. I highly suggest this read for any and all James Patterson fans, as it brings thrillers to a whole new level. Bill Clem is able to combine a great read with heart-stopping adventure. By the end of the story, you will be earning for more--and will most definitely be picking the book up to read again!

A fun read from a knowledgeable author

In Bill Clem's novel "Microbe", the author explores a threat to our world not from international terrorism, but rather from a much smaller enemy that comes from much further away! What raises this book above the typical thriller is that the author, as a practicing nurse, has a first-hand understanding of medicine. As a result, he incorporates some very realistic medical situations within the roller-coaster ride of the team racing to find a solution. I've always been drawn to fiction authors who have real-world training that becomes included in their novels (Michael Crichton, Tess Gerritsen, etc.) and Bill Clem is certainly well within this fine company. The combination of technical knowledge and a clear writing style lead to a first-rate novel.

Thriller with a Twist

"Microbe" by Bill Clem - a science fiction thriller about a bacterial virus that kills everything it comes in contact with. Once you start reading it, you will want to know more. Where did it come from? Was it a conspiracy by the US Government? Was it a virus that causes the plague? Did it come from outer space? As you read the story the plot thickens, intense and believable as the government, medical community and even the President become involved. Who can you trust... I found it to be a great fast paced well written story that keeps your interest and excitement. I enjoyed it immensely. Recommend you read it yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Great thriller!

I got this book (as well as 2 others of Bill Clem's) for my mother and she loved them! She had never read anything of his before but compared him to Tom Clancy. Great thrillers...keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Bill Clem novels

I've read all Bill Clem's novels and have enjoyed all of them and looking forward to a new year of more books! My favorite ( at this point) was Microbe..as it was written around the setting where I live. Bill Clem's books are fast moving and quick reads. Another favorite was Presidential donor. I am also a Nurse and like the way he writes...but you do not have to be in the Medical field to understand his writings. The trailer for his upcoming book looks interesting and sounds like another good book!
