Easy "first chapter book" for early readers

My grandsons love the fantasy stories of these two mice. It is an easy read for children just starting "chapter books" and they like all four in the series. I know I can trust books from this publisher, even if I haven't read them all.

Commisioned. Charles and Oliver, two fine, faithful mice, have been given a secret mission by the Queen of England. It isn't easy stowing away on a ship full of mangy, mean dogs, cats, and rats. Will Charles and Oliver be able to accomplish this mission? After all, what are two mice to a whole crew of bad guys? Once again, Tim Davis has written a great story for young readers. His "mice" books are fun to read and hear. And, of course, there are often adult jokes that prove that these books are not for kids alone.
