Yes, it is a rather nice beginning book on the subject. Short (very short for the most part) biographical snippets on a number of Messerschmitt 109 aces, decent photographs (most of which I have seen many times), a very few drawings of particular aircraft, and from what I can tell a rather good historial overview of the aircraft. I bought it because it was inexpensive, and I am always looking for photographs of the pilots and aircraft that I have not seen before. As always, the various Osprey titles bring much more of that to the table, as do the various books by Werner Held and Holger Nauroth (many published by Schiffer). A good book, but a beginning book no matter how you look at it.
