look what I found

Recently, I came across a stash of books related to sociology, urban planning etc, at the University of New South Wales. So I decided to review them and share my wisdom with you. :) One of the books was this, which was on the topic of mentoring for new teachers. It talks about the difficulties commonly encountered during the first 5 years. From this, it suggests that a pairing of a new teacher with one more experienced can greatly alleviate the stress. As well as possibly improve the teaching experience from the standpoint of the [hapless] students. Villani surveys various US state funded programs, in places like Idaho, Georgia and California. All her discussion is based in the US. But readers abroad could still get useful gleanings.
