Designed to aid the amateur plant lover, this new edition of the classic field guide will help identify over 400 plants in the Rocky Mountain region. This description may be from another edition of this product.
If you're a student of native plants in the Western US, this is a must have book. Written by M Walter Pesman of the Denver Botanic Gardens, the book is organized by life zones ranging from plains to timberline. It's designed for the amateur botanist. There were 10 editions of the book between 1975 and 1992. The illustrations are fine examples of the classic pen-and-ink botanical style. They are derived from 200 original works by Emma A. Ervin. Copies are downright hard to find, so if you find one, I recommend snapping it up.
