No cards and different edition of the book...

It supposed to be the extended, revised book guide from 1999 and the cards should come along with it. I have received only the book and not this one, but a different edition from 1988 with a different cover, less pages and no cards. Very frustrating:(

Cards for shamans, witches, and plain animal lovers

These cards a amazing! The artwork is good, the companion book is very in depth, and the readings are great. In the beginning of the book, it tells you how to use the cards to discover your very own totem animals. After you discover what animals are your totems, you flip to the page the animal is on and find out all about the animal as well as what the animal has to teach you. The book is also very good to use if you see an animal in the wild or if you have visions. Pay close attention. These animals have alot to teach you.This is one of my favorite divination decks as well as teaching animal medicine. The deck also includes some blank cards so you can include animals that may not appear in the deck. Don't get me wrong, the companion book is not the only book that can teach you about certain types of medicine, but if you don't have any other books, it is a good start. The animals never stop teaching us.

I love this set, I kept my cards a secret to myself for the first few weeks I had them, but the identification of the reading and the situtaion I was questioning was eerie - so I asked various people who visited if they would not mind having a "Go" with the cards, well now my friends, family and acquaintences beleive I am a Shaman Sacred Card reader, this may be so but I believe it is the book and card set that are the true hero, as long as the person giving the reading has respect for the essense of the set the truth will Out. A teriffic gift to give someone interested in the subject of Native American Wisdom, it is so much fun to see a friends face change into the "Oh my god how did you know that" look. All readings are positive (I don't mean polite I mean give positive guidance for good news or bad) but one would have to be dim not to understand the significance of every card reading. If I can make sense of the set anybody can - The cards are Beautiful and the book print size is big enough for my bad eyesight, for late night reading with a bedside lamp.

A pivotal deck for those who love animals.

I have so enjoyed this deck over the years. When I first recieved it, following the easy directions for use, I was able to determine my entire totom (all the animals that influence me). I found it to be amazingly accurate. The system allows the user to understand the symbolic meaning of the animals which appear to us, in dreams, in person, or I even count the ones on TV. Thier messages are always timely and useful. The cards are lovely, the book is complete, easy to use, with just wonderful stories that make it very easy to remember and use the system quickly. I love it. Thanks to the creators.

Gentle and easy to use!

I have been using this deck of cards for years. I have even made a rabbit-skin bag to keep it in so that I can take them with me wherever I choose to go. The book offeres several forms of readings, some of which are fun, some of which are kinda scary (I still rarely do the one that looks at your subconscious) and all of which are informative. If you draw cards reversed, the book has suggestions on how to right the problems that may be present. All in all, though there are a few corny puns and jokes in the text, it is useful and gentle in it's approach. I would highly recommend this to someone looking to buy a set of cards...it's easier to master than a Tarot deck and less cryptic. Good for beginner and for adept alike
