This text examines how Latin America continues to be viewed and recreated by North American and European film-makers, from Raoul Walsh and John Sturges, to Sergei Eisenstein, Luis Bunuel and Werner... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Although now perhaps a bit dated in some respects, the collection of essays that comprise this book is extremely interesting, academically rigorous and in some cases innovative. Its coverage of the encounter between Europe and Latin America on film, in both breadth and depth, is very thorough. It is a pity it is not more widely available. It is now a classic.
