Thorough coverage of the exam material

I've always preferred the Sybex study guides for my certification studies, and this one continues the standard of excellence. The exam is a difficult one, covering a lot of subject matter, and this Sybex guide is good preparation (though hands-on practice is vital too). The authors make a good team -- their study guide for 70-210 (Windows 2000 Professional) is also excellent. Highly recommended.

Good Study Guide ? Maybe, Great Step By Step Reference Yes.

As a study guide this book could do better on explaining what to expect on this Exam. I personally found this book to be better at walking you step by step through various tasks. At times it edged on being to simple, at other times more detail was needed on the why. You need to know more about the usefulness of a task to pass the Exam. I still rate this book high because of its thoroughness in explaining how to do various tasks in Windows 2000 Server. Definitely a good choice to as one of a number of books you will need to study to pass the Windows 2000 Server Exam.

Good Upgrade Study guide

Let's keep in mind that Microsoft deliberately chooses to ask questions from the core study areas, rather than the methods used for the NT MCSE exams. Therefore, no single manual will be enough as by its nature each study guide covers only ONE subject. Having taken the exam, I can say that your success will depend on your preparation and EXPERIENCE. I STRONGLY advise that you purchase the CORE study set before taking even one exam. This is the whole objective behind Microsoft's plan for the MCSE 2000 certification. To this end, this manual is very good - and Sybex's Core study guides. Excellent study guide

Sybex has done it again!!!! I used only this book to study for the exam and passed the first time. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is preparing to test. Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another winner from Sybex

I've always been a fan of the Sybex MCSE Study Guides because they do the best job of getting you through the exams. When I go to take the exams, I feel like I'm back at my computer at home taking the EdgeTests on the book's CD. The Windows 2000 Study Guides are the best yet. They cover all of the material required to pass the exams. The book itself is very readable and informative, but the included CD is equally valuable. The new WinSim shows you exactly how to accomplish almost all of the administrative tasks that are performed in Windows 2000. There are so many questions in the EdgeTests that you will know the exam like the back of your hand when it comes time to get certified. The Palm and PC flashcards were just another great tool included on the CD. None of the other publishers, including Microsoft Press, measure up to Sybex when it comes to MCSE Study Guides. Sybex just seems to put more into their books than anyone else.
